What is People & Places ?
People and Places began in the fall of 2022. My initial plan for this project was to focus solely on Oak Cliff, Texas—a neighborhood in West Dallas that was once marginalized due to its distance and perceived dangers. Today, however, it has transformed into a vibrant hotspot known for its dining, shopping, music, and urban style, reminiscent of the old Austin, Texas. I’ve decided to expand this project into a series, allowing me to broaden my geographical reach to include neighborhoods, cities, states, and even countries. Despite this expansion, my mission remains the same: to highlight groups, individuals, and places that offer unique and uncommon perspectives. Through this, I hope to deepen our understanding of the human experience and create a bridge for others to learn about diverse cultures and experiences.
